April 27, 2020 (Indianapolis, IN) – Specialty Coating Systems (SCS) is pleased to announce that it is hosting a webinar on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 2 p.m. EST. The webinar entitled, “Ultra-lightweight Parylenes Provide Robust Protection,” will be presented by Rakesh Kumar, Vice President of Technology, and Tim Seifert Aerospace & Defense Market Manager. The webinar is now open for registration at: scswebinars.com.
Tim Seifert and Dr. Rakesh Kumar
Conformal coatings are often used in the electronics, aerospace, defense, transportation and medical industries to both enhance products and protect them from their surrounding environments. As technologies continue to evolve and become more complex, often with tight space and weight considerations, it is vital that designers and manufacturers find the most effective solution to shield their products from a vast array of potential hazards.
This webinar will offer an opportunity to learn more about Parylene conformal coatings – the coating process, current applications protected by Parylenes, and the properties and benefits they can offer products.
Parylene conformal coatings provide dependable, lasting protection to numerous components and applications, including circuit boards, sensors, MEMS/semiconductors, LEDs, mobile devices, wearables, smart products, unmanned vehicles, satellites, implantable medical devices, elastomers and metals, to name only a few. As applications, materials and technologies continue to develop, new advances in Parylene conformal coatings will continue to increase performance and add measurable value to products around the world.
Seifert has more than 15 years of experience in the industrial market, including roles in sales, market research and product marketing, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
Dr. Kumar has more than 29 years of extensive experience in polymeric materials and their applications in the medical, electronics and semiconductors areas. He earned his doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry from India, and completed his post-doctorate work in Polymer Chemistry at the UCL, U.K.
