Specialty Coating Systems Introduces New PrecisionCoat Automatic Quick Change at SMTAI

September 10, 2018 (Indianapolis, IN) – Specialty Coating Systems has announced plans to exhibit at SMTA International, scheduled to take place Oct. 16-17, 2018 at the Donald Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The company will provide demonstrations of its SCS PrecisionCoat Automatic Quick Change Feature (AQC) in Booth #331.

The PrecisionCoat’s AQC feature allows the use of five separate tools within a single machine. In standard systems, using multiple valves on the same machine limits head travel, which reduces the overall work envelop of the system. In contrast, the AQC feature allows customers to use up to five valves or heads, individually positioned with independent materials and functionality. This industry-leading feature enables users to automate and control the application of multiple materials, including cure functionality, and how each integrate with one another within a single coating profile. For example, within one profile, a user can isolate components with a masking material, UV cure the material and then spray the balance of the board, all without operator intervention.
