SCS (formerly Comelec SA) Moves to New Custom-Built Site in Switzerland and Announces Name Change
SCS has relocated its Switzerland operations to a custom-built facility at Rue du Collège 43, 2300 La Chaux-de-Fonds. Spanning approximately 2,200 square meters, the ISO 9001:2015 certified facility is designed to provide excellent, high-quality coating services for customers in the medical device, electronics, aerospace and automotive markets.
In conjunction with the site move, SCS announced a legal name change for its Swiss entity. Formerly operating as Comelec SA, the site will now officially conduct business as Specialty Coating Systems SA. This transition underscores SCS’ shared quality standards, vision and values across its global network of coating centers. David Ellis, Managing Director, Europe, said, “The company name and location may have changed, but the highly experienced team in Switzerland remains the same, bringing decades of Parylene and ALD coating expertise to every project.”
For over five decades, SCS has built a legacy of innovation and leadership in the conformal coatings industry. The relocation and name change of the Switzerland facility mark another milestone in the company’s history and reinforces its presence in Europe.
