SCS Provides Comprehensive Manufacturing Line Solution for Maximum Flexibility
In addition to supplying stand-alone units to customers, SCS offers comprehensive coating and dispensing solutions for electronic assembly and other manufacturing lines. SCS PrecisionCoat, PrecisionCure and PrecisionAdvance systems offer line manufacturing flexibility and can integrate into assembly lines in various configurations to fit the requirements of customer product processes. SCS systems utilize SMEMA, CFX or proprietary communication to control the flow of products, and as these protocols are employed, additional production line components can be integrated within the SCS product line for even greater flexibility and efficiency.
Available in conformal coating, dispensing and/or potting platforms, the SCS PrecisionCoat VI offers maximum flexibility and efficiency for manufacturers. Its conformal coating and dispense valves move smoothly along the three-axis system, with an option to add fully programmable fourth and fifth axes for tilt and rotation capabilities. The PrecisionCoat’s Automatic Quick Change (AQC) feature allows the use of up to eight separate tools, enabling users to automate and control the application of multiple materials within a single coating profile and/or system.
The SCS PrecisionCure UVC (MUV) curing system utilizes Heraeus Noblelight® microwave-activated UV lamps, the industry standard in microwave UV curing technology, and it features programmable curing profiles within the smallest footprint in the industry. Additional cure systems are also available from SCS, including the PrecisionCure TC, which utilizes IR thermal technology to cure materials, and the PrecisionCure UVC that cures coatings using ARC lamps. The PrecisionCure UVC (MUV), PrecisionCure TC (IR) and the PrecisionCure UVC (ARC) can each operate as stand-alone machines or as a compliment to SCS’ PrecisionCoat and PrecisionAdvance to create a comprehensive, customized solution.
SCS PrecisionAdvance conveyors, which enable efficient line management, round out the company’s comprehensive manufacturing line offerings. Available in four configurations, including the line-load conveyor, pass-through conveyor, inspection conveyor and the accumulation conveyor/buffer, PrecisionAdvance conveyors are designed to control board inspection, line flow and transit throughout the coating and assembly operation. Utilizing the PrecisionCoat’s control software, SCS’ modular conveyor systems can be integrated to create a custom line that automates and streamlines circuit board movement through the manufacturing process. Product flow management is controlled by the PrecisionCoat, which eliminates the need for an external automation line manager. The PrecisionCoat communicates product information through the process line, including line width, speed and curing programs, which can be automatically configured to each component.
