SCS Presents at Fall “Innovation Briefs”

March 1, 2009

Specialty Coating Systems, the leader in Parylene conformal coating services and technologies, participated in educational presentations during the recent MD&M Midwest and MD&M Minneapolis expositions. Innovation Briefs, as introduced by Canon Communications, allow for a select group of exhibitors to present in a series of technical presentations, which are held within a dedicated space on the expo floor.

Lonny Wolgemuth, Sr. Medical Market Specialist, presented topics including, “Parylene: Polymeric Coatings for Medical Devices” and “Coatings Adhesion – Measurement and Enhancement” to the gathered group of show visitors and exhibitors.

SCS Parylene conformal coatings protect a variety of medical devices and components including stents, pacemakers, electrosurgical tools, hearing assist devices, cochlear implants, catheters, needles and elastomers, to name a few. Biocompatible and biostable, ultra-thin Parylenes provide excellent moisture, chemical and dielectric barrier protection, and a low coefficient of friction to lifesaving devices.
