SCS to Exhibit Parylene Conformal Coatings at NEPCON China

March 9, 2017

(Indianapolis, IN) – Specialty Coating Systems (SCS) is pleased to announce that it will exhibit in Booth 1A10 at NEPCON China, scheduled to take place April 25-27, 2017, at the Shanghai World EXPO Exhibition & Convention Center. SCS will exhibit their industry-leading Parylene conformal coatings, which protect a wide range of components and devices in the electronics, automotive, defense, avionics and medical device industries.
During the SMTA China East Conference, happening in conjunction with the show, SCS Vice President of Technology Rakesh Kumar, Ph.D. will present a paper entitled, “Enhanced Protection and Reliability of Harsh Environment Electronics through Environment-Friendly, Insulating Conformal Coating.” The presentation will take place on April 26, 2017, at 11:05 a.m. local time and will describe the attributes and suitability of a green, vapor-phase deposited, conformal, insulating material – Parylene HT®, a material that is also suitable for harsh environments.

This material has been tested per MIL-Spec, IPC and automotive requirements and has been shown to improve the reliability of various electronics that are exposed to corrosive and other harsh environmental conditions. Some of the key characteristics of this material include excellent electrical and mechanical properties, chemical inertness, long-term thermal stability (high temperature exposure to over 350°C), contamination and corrosion control, dry-film lubrication and RoHS compliance.

SCS is the leader in Parylene coating services and technologies with 21 coating facilities around the world. Additionally, the company has more than 45 years of applications experience in the electronics, automotive, medical device and defense industries.
