SCS Introduces New Parylene HT® Conformal Coating Optimal for Harsh Environment Applications
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - (June 28, 2004) -Specialty Coating Systems* (SCS*), has introduced Parylene HTSM conformal coating for the automotive, industrial, military and electronics industries. Parylene HT coating is ideal for providing protection to parts and electronic components that operate in harsh environments where temperature, chemical, electrical, moisture and UV stability challenges exist.
SCS Parylene HT meets the specifications of component manufacturers with long-term thermal stability up to 350 C, with intermittent exposures up to 450 C. Additionally, Parylene HT offers exceptional UV stability, crevice penetration, a low dielectric constant and a low dissipation factor.
Parylene HT is applied at room temperature via a vapor deposition polymerization process, resulting in a pinhole-free, protective coating. It is inert, solvent and catalyst free, does not out-gas, and in ultra-thin coatings results in little dimensional or mass change to the coated component.
"Applications in the automotive, industrial and electronics industries have increasing demands for thermally stable coatings capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions," said Tim Bender, SCS Marketing Manager. " SCS' new Parylene HT provides that thermal stability in addition to being an excellent chemical, moisture and dielectric barrier."
"SCS services millions of Parylene coated parts on a daily basis to customers around the world and through their worldwide coating facilities has the capability to exceed your company's requirements."
