Specialty Coating Systems Introduces New Ionic Contamination Test System
SCS Ionograph SMD IV provides efficient and safe testing
INDIANAPOLIS - Specialty Coating Systems (SCS) recently introduced the SCS Ionograph SMD IV ionic contamination test system. The SMD IV is the newest in the SCS cleanliness testing series - the industry standard for ionic contamination testing.
The efficient Ionograph SMD IV uses an ultra-pure alcohol/water extraction media and a dynamic testing method to test components quickly and without destruction.
The Ionograph SMD IV is the first ionic contamination testing system in the industry to be equipped with Bluetooth® technology - cutting-edge technology that enables short-range wireless connections. Bluetooth technology in the Ionograph SMD IV allows users to transmit data from the instrument wirelessly to the SCS PowerView software for monitoring and analysis.
"The wireless Bluetooth communication feature in the Ionograph SMD IV will provide customers with increased flexibility and range in their testing," said Bill Boyd, SCS Equipment Market Manager. "And our commitment to accuracy and safety gives customers the promise of precise results from the most stable machine on the market."
The new system is also the first cleanliness testing system on the market to be Intertek ETL SEMKO (ETL) certified, signifying its subjection to a comprehensive safety program that includes testing, listing, labeling and follow-up inspections. In addition, the system meets National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and is nitrogen-inerted for increased safety.
The Ionograph SMD IV is controlled by proprietary SCS PowerView software, which offers a graphical interface and results-graphing capabilities.
