SCS kicked off the 2014 trade show season in February at MD&M West in Anaheim, California. Each year, UBM Canon hosts Medical Design and Manufacturing conferences and expositions, providing an opportunity for companies to display their goods and services related to the medical device industry.
During the show, SCS exhibited Parylene technology. SCS Sr. Medical Market Specialist Dick Molin presented “Increasing Reliability through Advanced Conformal Coating” in the expo hall’s Tech Talk Theater. The presentation highlighted SCS’s advanced adhesion technologies, AdPro Plus® and AdPro Poly®, as well as microRESISTTM Antimicrobial Parylene Technology.
The expo was paired with a four day technical conference held onsite, during which SCS Vice President of Technology Dr. Rakesh Kumar led a panel discussion entitled “Cardiovascular Devices and Engineering.” Dr. Kumar also presented “Design & Development of Antimicrobial Parylene Technology for Medical Devices,” which focused on antimicrobial protection for medical devices.
