SCS recently released new designs for its industry-leading Ionograph product line. The new Ionograph SMD V and Ionograph BT Series (bench top models) are the latest in SCS’ line of ionic contamination test systems, which are synonymous in the industry with automated ROSE (Resistivity of Solvent Extracts) testing.
SCS Ionographs are designed to meet the needs of any lab or manufacturer. The Ionograph SMD V and Ionograph BT Series determine the cleanliness of electronic components, assemblies with SMT devices, and bare and populated PCBs. Additionally, the series complies with ANSI/J-STD-001 and IPC-TM-650, and is specifically named in MIL-STD-2000A and MIL-P-28809A.
Like its predecessors, the Ionograph SMD V is a floor model that is commonly used for larger circuit boards in high-volume production environments. The system provides outstanding sensitivity, operational efficiency and the ability to test components in a timely manner with ease and accuracy.
The CE-certified Ionograph SMD V features optional heating capabilities and easy-access door panels for routine maintenance of consumable components, and is controlled by proprietary SCS PowerViewTM software.
Also operated by SCS PowerView software on a remote computer or tablet, the Ionograph BT Series offers customers a quick, convenient and accurate method of testing individual parts or small devices. The Ionograph BT Series, a redesign of the I500M benchtop Ionographs, is available in small, medium or large sizes to accommodate board requirements. The units are constructed with stainless steel access panels for ease of routine maintenance, and system electronics are housed in a separate control module for enhanced safety.
